What is Daflon 500 mg Used For?

• Daflon containing the 2 active ingredients diosmine and hesperidin is considered a phlebotonic medicine. It works by improving blood flow and preventing blood from ever flowing backwards.
• Treatment of organic and functional chronic venous insufficiency of the lower limbs with the following symptoms

1. Heavy legs
2. Pain
3. Nocturnal cramps
4. Treatment of functional symp­toms related to an acute haemorrhoidal episode.

• 2 tablets daily in two divided doses midday and evening at meal times.

• The dosage is 6 tablets per day for the first 4 days, then 4 tablets per day for the following three days in divided doses.

Patients using Daflon may encounter unwanted side effects such as:

• Upset stomach
• Headaches
• Unusual taste in mouth
