About the Position: Permanent duty location for this position is Qatar, but the selectee will be physically located in Afghanistan for a majority of the tour. This position will be filled on a permanent basis. Initial overseas tour is for one (1) year with possible extensions up to five (5) years. Headquarters 160th Signal Brigade was reactivated for the fourth time on 3 September 2003 at Camp Arifjan, Kuwait with two battalions (25th and 54th Signal Battalions). The Headquarters 160th Signal Brigade provides the US Army Central Command and Third US Army with enterprise communications capabilities necessary to accomplish missions throughout the Southwest Asia and US Central Command area of responsibility. Assist other Contracting Officers Representatives in surveillance and quality assurance for various information technology service contracts, telecommunication, and communication systems. Initiates, plans, develops, implements, and execute internal plans, policies and procedures necessary to accomplish effective quality assurance of assigned contracts.
