Dear customer, your BMI is within overweight and it not recommended to gain weight since your are diabetic, overweight may increase the risk of another problem like hypertension, triglycerides and cardiovascular diseases, it's important to maintain a healthy weight in dieabetic person.
 
However, keep your healthy diet by eating five to six meals a day instead of the three or two usual meals a day, and try the following foods as healthy snacks: Nuts, Cheese, Peanut butter, Avocados, Dried fruits
 
Grains, pasta and breads should be whole grain (void processed versions of these), shakes or smoothies.
 
 without causing dangerous levels of glucoseMonitor your diet to provide appropriate levels of sugar 
 
weight training alone is more likely to cause you to gain weight, since muscle weighs more than fat, consult your PT in order to give the best plan.
