Hi doctor Last Wednesday we took medicine for my 1 year and 9 1/2 month boy for cough and cold. Doctor had prescribed toularynx syrup, nasal spray and cetrizine syrup. Today morning from 6 now he started vomiting phlegm. Is this because medicine or is this because of the food he ate night. (He ate chapathi and egg curry)

Some other tests can also be performed, including a complete blood test to detect infections, a sedimentation factor test to detect acute or chronic infections, and a stool examination to detect bacteria. Or parasites, with the possibility of doing a urine analysis to rule out the presence of urinary tract infections, and also doing an ABG test and checking blood chemistry and kidney function (urea/creatinine) to detect any complications.
