There are two main types of birth control pills which include the dual-containing oral contraceptive pills that contain estrogen and progesterone such as Diane tablets, and single-containing progesterone-only birth control pills.
How to use the contraceptive pill?
The method of using the contraceptive pill depends on the type of pill that has been chosen. Usually the pills come in package for a period of 21 or 28 days. Those pills for a period of 21 days, all pills are active, as you take one pill daily for three continuous weeks at the same time every single day then stop for a week and them start another cycle. The other type which is a 28-day tablets that contain 21 active tablets and 7 inactive tablets in order to avoid forgetting the regular daily intake.
When will the next period come?
Well, it's supposed to come after 28 days of starting the pills. However, with the beginning of using these tablets, some disturbances in your period such as dalying, spotting or heavy bleeding might occur. Please note, that these disturbances are temporary and disappear by itself.
