Kindly be noted that hepatitis is one of the diseases that prevent the patient from traveling to the UAE and obtaining a work and residence visa.

This is in accordance with the provisions of Cabinet Resolution No. 7 of 2008 regarding the medical examination system for expatriates to the state for work or residence and its amendments

Article 2:

Arrivals to the UAE for the purpose of residency are subject to the medical examinations stipulated in this decision. The conditions for granting or renewing residency are determined according to the type of injury and the categories of those examined. These examinations include: AIDS examination so that the necessary examinations to detect the disease are conducted for all categories of residency expatriates upon granting residency for the first time or When renewed, the residence permit shall not be granted or renewed for positive cases and is considered unfit for health. Viral hepatitis examination: It is limited to newcomers to the country to work for the first time, and upon renewal of residency for the categories of babysitters, domestic servants and the like, nursery and kindergarten supervisors (where they are tested for hepatitis B) and workers in hair and beauty salons and health clubs ( Where they are tested for hepatitis B and C), workers in health facilities (they are tested for hepatitis B and C), as determined by a decision issued by the Minister of Health, in coordination with the rest of the government health authorities
