Pursuant to the residence law, and as long as the status has not been amended to employment residence, the fine will be imposed for those who overstay after the expiration or cancellation of entry visa. This shall be calculated as follows:
-25 AED for each day of the first 6 months
-50 AED for each day of the next 6 months
-100 AED for each day of the year
-in the cases which permit the application to obtain the residence or to renew it. in all cases the fine can be deducted to 50% in case the violator leave the country forever. In this case his passport will be sealed of the entry ban for one year of the date of the last departure.
