In the event that a person possesses narcotic substances or intentionally uses them with the intent to cause mental anesthesia or have any effect or harm on the mind, he shall be sentenced to imprisonment for a maximum period of one year, according to Article 41 of the same law.
And according to Article 43 of the law; If a person who abuses narcotic drugs or psychotropic substances submits himself to the Addiction Treatment Unit, the Public Prosecution Office, or the police, he or someone related to him, such as the husband, wife, or a relative of the first or second degree; A criminal case is not instituted against him and he is committed to treatment at the addiction treatment unit until the unit decides the appropriate time to remove him after he fully recovers and returns as a normal person to society, affecting and being affected positively and purposefully.
