The Kuwaiti employer (sponsor) must apply for a work permit from the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kuwait will send a copy of the work permit to the Kuwaiti embassy in the country where the employee lives for authentication. The employee must also apply for an entry visa to Kuwait.
The requirements for a work permit in Kuwait are simple:
The employee's passport
A no-objection certificate from the General Department of Criminal Investigation at the Ministry of Interior.
No-objection certificates and a copy of the employer's authorized signatory as registered for commercial purposes are required from employees of private sector companies.
If the employee lives in a country without a Kuwaiti embassy, the sponsor will have to submit the work permit and no-objection certificate to the Ministry of Interior to obtain an entry visa.
If the employee held a visit visa in Kuwait when accepting work, he must leave Kuwait and return with the new entry visa.
Most nationalities are required to return to their country to undergo medical examinations and obtain approval from the Embassy of the State of Kuwait
