If the employer refuses to return the worker’s passport after the expiry of the work contract and cancellation of the visa, the worker may file a complaint with:
- Ministry of Human Resources and Nationality because your passport was not returned.
- Submitting a complaint to the police station also because of the refusal to return your passport.
Submitting a complaint to the General Administration of Residence because of the employer's refusal to return the passport.
File an urgent case before the court to request that the employer be required to return your passport.

After the company cancels the worker's visa, the company must return the worker's passport.
There is no law that allows the company to keep the worker's passport after the visa is cancelled.
