Dear Doctors. I am a 37 year old male, who have been rather healthy throughout my life, with the exception of suffering from panic attacks. For as long as I remember I have always had occassional tremors, when I did not eat proporely or suffered from low blood sugar. But after a series of dramatic events i nmy life, and travelling to work in a nother country that involved alot of Travel to the far east, and restless and sleepless nights I started noticing about 6 months ago I am getting some noticable tremors in my fingers mainly the thumb and pinky. I thought back and the only incident that might cause this that I could think off, was a massage session in Indonesia where the massues without telling me turned and cracked my neck, I had no paid at the time, but was my first time to crack my neck that way. I visited a neurologist in Doha, who claimed it was fatigue and asked me to go on E vitamins and another natural remedy for 2 weeks, but did not improve much. I then visited a neruologists in Egypt and showed her a video of my tremor where she said its good you took a video because the type of tremor and the way your fingers move says alot about the cause. She was worried that the cracking of my neck might have injured a nerve and ordered a full nerve assessment using electrical pulses in my arm, and a MRI to the neck. all tests came back normal with the exception of some slight weakness in one of my arms which she claimed was due to my fatigue and constant travel and lack of exercise. ASked me to take vitamin B12 for 3 months. Unfortunatley I had already travelled before she sent me the perscription so I thought she meant in the pill format, so I took those for a month or so, but apparently she meant the more concentrated version in an injection form. So now am taking nothing but normal multivitatims. Tremors seem to increase with the intake of Coffee, and ofcourse if I am stressed, and I do have an occassional head nod, maybe a few times a week that I register those. Other than that I do not seem to have any other symptoms. Should I worry? anything I can do to improve things. I am scheduled for a neurologist again in 3 weeks as I could not get an appointment earlier

Essential tremor is characterized by a tremor that is suppressed at rest and exacerbated toward the end of a goal-directed movement. Affected patients typically have difficulty holding a newspaper, writing legibly, drinking a cup of coffee, or feeding themselves. First line treatment for essential tremor is propranolol, especially if the patient is also hypertensive, it is benign condition ..do not be anxious you are ok ..
