We would like to inform you that regarding the medical examination, it is:
An expatriate coming to work or live in the UAE needs to undergo medical examinations to ensure his health and be able to follow up on residency procedures.
In accordance with Cabinet Resolution No. (5) of 2016, amending some provisions of Cabinet Resolution No. (7) of 2008, expatriates to the country for work or residence will be subject to the following medical examinations:
The AIDS examination includes the necessary examinations to detect the disease for all categories of residency arrivals, when granting residency, for the first time or upon renewal. Residency is not granted or renewed for positive cases, and it is considered unfit for health.
Viral hepatitis screening
Pregnancy examination for domestic workers, such as maids, nannies, drivers, and the like,
Leprosy examination: New arrivals to the country are subject to examination and upon renewal of residency. Residency is not granted or renewed for positive cases for all groups.
Syphilis examination
Tuberculosis examination
In cases of tuberculosis with bacteria resistant to treatment, the patient is treated until he is cured within the country. Hence, he is considered healthy and renewed for residency, and he is excluded from the health fitness conditions for old and active tuberculosis disease for the purpose of obtaining residency for the first time.
