My baby had chest and nasal congestion from more than 2 weeks. He seems to be uncomfortable most of the time. I have tried all steam, aspirator and home remedies. But his condition is the same. I suppose its a bacterial infection. He is 9 months old. Can i start omnicef antibiotic for him?

What is the treatment of Nasal congestion and other symptoms ?
- Good hydration, drink as much water and herbal and Keep your baby warm and protected
- Use over the counter painkillers as acetaminophen with medications to relieve congestion such as Normosal or otrivin nasal drops
- Use antibiotics, which must be prescribed by your doctor according to case such Augmentin syrup twice daily for 7 days
- Drink herbals .
