What Is The Treatment Of psychotic disorder?
psychotic disorder depends on drugs mainly for the presence of hyperactivity of neurotransmitter dopamine, which causes symptoms of schizophrenia, so the psychiatrist prescribe drugs like quitapine and desvenlafaxine which need to take some time in order to be effctive and in case of insomnia I recommend increasing the dose of quitapine gradually
Is psychotic recovery possible?
There are 3 types of psychotic disorders divided by their duration:
Brief type is short term and lasts for a month and then completely recovered and the person returns to normal
The schizophreniphorm type lasts from one to six months and may turn into a long-term schizophrenia disorder and may be treated during this period
Long-term schizophrenia is a disorder that lasts for life and need to stop not the treatment
causes of schizophrenia include:
Functional - Mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder
Organic - chemical imbalance, brain tumors, sleep deprivation
Psychotropic drugs - halosinogenes, amphetamines and barbiturates
What Is Schizophrenia?
It is a disease characterized by psychotic disorders such as hallucinations, strange thoughts, strange language as well as certain motor characteristics, and they do not understand that they have a problem.
