  • Eat more than one meal daily to reach 6 meals a day.
  • Eat healthy carbohydrate sources for breakfast, lunch and dinner, such as bran bread, oatmeal, pasta made from wheat and quinoa grains, which increase sugar levels less than other types because of their fiber content.

  • Eat salmon, tuna, grouper or Spanish mackerel twice a week.
