He was transferred to the military hospital in Oran and from there to prison. On April 21, 1955 he was brought to the military court in Oran and sentenced to death. On May 3, 1955, Zabana was transferred to the Barbaros prison in Algiers. He was presented for the second time to the court to enforce the previous judgment of the Oran court. From Barbaros prison, Zabana was transferred to Sarkaji prison. On June 19, 1956, at about 4:00 am, he took a customer from his cell, He says loudly that I am very pleased to be the first Algerian to climb the Guillotine, with our presence or otherwise Algeria is free and independent, and then commissioned his lawyer to send his message to his mother.
