I had a credit card from a bank in UAE that was...
I had a credit card from a bank in UAE that was issued subsequently after few months of disbursing the personal loan in 2009. Later due to loss of job, the head of recoveries agreed that settle only my personal loan and that they will claim the balance on credit card from insurance or write off. There was no security cheque issued for credit card.
I promptly settled my personal loan over due in 2011. And provided all documents requested by the bank, including my resignation letter.
I requested for clearance letter however, my numerous calls to head of recoveries were not responded nor were the emails replied to.
Now, after four years, after searching me from social sites, there outsourced recovery agents are sending me legal notices.
Can they bring up a valid case in UAE courts. They dont have cheque. Plus i have all email trail which show that the bank is not responding to me on my request of clearance letter. What are my options?

About your inquiry , we have to deal first that the UAE law give the right to any one to go to the courts . there is no problems in this , but he put conditions such as there benefits for him to make the claim
In your case sir we should agree that you didn't read all the agreement you sign on it when you took the loan , plus the credit card . and to be honest usually the banks put a lot of hidden articles and conditions to use it . especially when it comes to the credit card contracts . it is so long and in english and with small fonts ; However you did a good step when you have the evidence that you asked them many time to cleanse your account, and it a good point in your side . I am sorry to tell you i cant give full advice for you cause i dont have the contracts and i didn't read the legal note which the sent you , and in what points the focus .
Right now i can just advice you to contact them and ask for meeting to show them your documents and ask them for legal accounting for all the account .
In my opinion and i guess the problem is in the credit cards Compound interest
