Coughing 10 times every minute all my waking hours - for four years!!! 6 doctors later + 2 so called specialists , 30+ appointments here in Dubai UAE. reflux was there main consideration - me telling them always trying to cough up a tiny bit of phlegm in absolute desperation & fear of cancer I checked google for the 20th time & noticed Nasal issues !! I recently told doctor that I always have sores in my nose & I felt my problem was possibly mucous sticking in my throat , I had CT scan which showed infection in my sinuses ,he described bactroban cream for the sores - omnaris spray _ gelo myrtol _ I am coughing less but still 100s of time each day < mucous in back of my throat still - when I lye on my left side , 30 mins stop coughing until I sit up with head back cough again < lean forward less coughing _ can you help me Will Chadderton , 65 yrs , Desperate in Dubai

I think you have to be examined by endoscope for gastro eosoghageal reflux disease because your septoms may be due to this problem.
Also with endoscope your doctor will examin your eosophagus for ant anatomical problems such as diverticula or fistula.
your nasal problem may be the cause which is known as post nasal drip and the treatment depends on the cause which may be bacterial infection, allergy, forign body in the nose, or deviated septum.
so you have to visist ENT doctor for good examination.
