-small cars, This is a category known as Supermini car in Europe , Subcompact car in North America . The small car has three, four or five doors and is designed for four comfortable seats. The current mini hatchback is about 3900 mm long, while the saloon and the Asian are about 4200 mm in length.

In Europe, the first small car was Fiat 500 for 1957 and the Austin Mini 1959. Today, the mini car or supermini are some of the best selling cars in Europe.

-Family car/compact car, small family car or Compact car is the longest sedan and sedan. About 4250 mm in length in the case of hatchback and 4500 mm in the case of saloon and eset cars. This category corresponds to the "Large Family Car" category in EuroNCAP. It is known in Australia as a medium-sized car.
-Big car, Full-size car is a term used in most of North America, the Middle East and Australia, where it refers to the largest sedan on the market. Large cars may be much longer than the 4900 mm wide cockpit.

 -Executive car/ luxury car, such as: Jaguar XF
-Large luxury car, such as BMW 7 series, and Lexus LS.
-Compact sport car, such as:
Dodge SRT-4, Nissan Sentra V spec,  Mitsubishi Lancer, Citroen Saxo Fetter
