Hello Sir, i need help of diagnosing a problem...

Hello Sir, i need help of diagnosing a problem with my car. It is Jaguar X-type 2.5 V6 petrol model from 2007 (Gulf Specs). I bought it blindly and now im stuck with overheating problem. In one service they have check the car and did small service for me. The problem now is it that they say the water pump is good, radiator, fans and termostat are also good but the car still over heats. Now they have told me that is 80% a bad head gasket. Could that be the problem why my Jag is over heating? Because the replacement is too expensive and i have the feeling that they are just blindly guessing about the problem. Do you have any advice what should i do? Thank you for your answer

Ok, the car is at the mechanic garage at the moment, and it will be there until the serviser recheck the status. Im asking you because i want a second opinion on what it could cause the overheating the engine. So if he says that all the components of the car are doing ok ( water pump, radiator, fans and termostat) then i must change the head gasket. I just hoped that it will be some minor problem, but i see now that it is probably head gasket and thats the worst that could happend( from expensive part of looking). I just have fear that the problem will still exist even if he replace the head gasket...

The problem is in gasket if all commponent of coling system is ok
