I am a 46 years old woman and I have never been...
I am a 46 years old woman and I have never been married. I had fibroid removal surgery five months ago and fibroids were about 3kg. Period was normal after two months of surgery and then stopped for two months. Since one month, non-heavy bleeding (once or twice in a day) and spotting started and then I had bleeding for two days and then ceased then I got my period two days ago. I had hormone blood test and ultrasound. the hormone blood showed LH Hormone 2.7, FSH 8.2. Ultrasound showed bulky uterus measuring 11.8 x 804 x 501 cm, heterogenous echotexture with 8mm endometrial thickness, anterior uterine ill-defined hypoechoic lesion about 16mm, fundal anterior uterine wall small hypoechoic lesion about 15mm and fundal hypoechoic lesion about 26mm normal uterine cervix. Result: Uterine focal lesions suggesting uterine fibroids. I just want to know if there is something wrong with these lesions

What does the result of the report mean ?
The result shows that there are focal lesions in the uterus which are most probaply new fibroids.
Treatment of uterine fibroids?
Well, there are different options of treatment which can be between watchful waiting up to surgical removal of the fibroids. However, there are some medications that can be used such as GnRH (Lupron Depot), IUD (Intra-Uterine Device), OCP (oral contraceptive pills) and some pain releiver medication such as NSAID (Ibuprofen). Other treatment options include the surgical intervention which has different techniques and the best choice will be chosen by your doctor considering your condition as well as the available methods.
Diagnosis of fibroids?
History and clinical exam by the gyne&obs specialist. Lower abdominal ultrasound as well as uterine endoscopy and MRI.
Symptoms of fibroids:
- Irregular menstruation
- Lower abdominal pain
- Frequent urination
- Lower back pain
- Constipation
